While not the exact same in terms of what the suggestion aims to achieve, a similar one that requested custom colors was denied here https://ecocitycraft.com/forum/thre...-sponsor-rank-can-customize-their-tag.214163/ and from that suggestion it looks like custom tags are a no go in any capacity
-1/+1 I don't think ranks should be able to change color but I think adding a feature (nick++) so you could choose from a variety of your stag would not be bad for chat and maybe customize it so it matches your rank/nick/username.
