I have been giving people free residential plots. My current plan is to make it clear that the lot is subject to removal after 2 weeks of inactivity for new residents. I am also doing store rentals at a weekly rate. My question is, before I get too far deep into this, is it manageable? How do you remove people's chest after they are evicted? I was reading other forums and they said "non-members deny flag on" which would not allow for chest unlock. What does this mean?
This is entirely manageable. If you don't have any flags enabled, all you need to do is, after 7 days + of inactivity, file a LWC removal request here. A SuperMod will handle it within 24 hours. After they've unlocked it, the stuff in the chest is yours to take. You file one request per user, so if they had 4 chests and a locked furnace, they would all go in the same request. If you have the chest-access deny flag enabled, all you need to do is ensure the member you are evicting is still added to the town when you come to file the LWC removal request, and when the SuperMod handling the request comes to remove it. It basically just means that users can't open unlocked chests within your town unless they're a member. It's a part of Town Control feature, you can see more here.
