    Suggestion:
Using blaze rods to turn obsidian into lava, eating the blaze rod in the process.
    Reason:
It's an easier way to place lava. I figured this out because I was trying to place lava in a 30x30 area, and it's really tedious to do with /fill lava and buckets, mostly, it's glitchy and I'm bound to miss spots.
It would also give obsidian and blazerods a use, breathing a little bit of life into those markets.
    Any Other Information:
It would be for pyro+ users
    Link To This Plugin:
There is none, it would have to be custom made.

I think this is good, and I think it can definitly happen. The one thing I don't see though, is Khobbs going out of his way to do this. If you think you could, then lets see what Andrew says.

This is turning the game easy. You need to feel the pain going through countless hours of work, which will then benefice you with the conluded thing at the end.

This would make ECC easier in a small, but, somewhat important (imo) aspect.

It's still work, just less. Not to mention it adds the cost of obsidian and blazerods, which isn't cheap.

Hmm, I see the point in this, but also not sure I like the mechanic behind it.
That said, it might work well as a command, like /lavame, which could be powertooled.

    how would that work?

I feel like a command would just be messier, having a physical way of changing obsidian into lava would be a gamechanger in my eyes. Something that would make lavaplacements easy, as you could for example easily make a line or floor of obsidian, both on the ground or in the air, and turn it into lava at the cost of just a few blazerods (blazerods currently have no use aside from brewing potions, and that doesn't really happen en masse) This would also make gathering/trading blazerods more worthwile.

I also think adding some new simple mechanics like this would give incentives to gather/trade items.

I would assume check for the perms, then command, then wait for a blockinteract with either left or right click
and if that block is obsidian, then turn it to lava.

Your way would be practically the same, only checking for a toggle, persay the /lavame command and then follow the above path.

Basically, for anyone who does not know how the Bukkit/Spigot API works, this is what would happen.

The server would check if you have permission for this command/toggle command.
Then it would check the item in your hand/see if it was empty.
Then it would act only if the block you interacted with was obsidian, and then finally it would replace the block with lava.
Not entirely sure if there would be a worldguard check involved, but I would assume that worldguard would need to be hooked into this.

I wouldn't mind making this if andrew or kh let me :p Pretty easy IMO.

But how would that be better than the blaze rod thing? What would the benefit be?
Also, it would obviously have to make sure lwc and worldguard aren't blocking it.

I agree that this would be useful to have, however I see issues with the idea if you are not able to toggle it on and off.

Well, it would be very specific, right clicking a piece of obsidian with a blazerod. It's not something people do often.

There may be one problem with this kuke, with the new ability to lock obsidian, I could see someone protecting a base with obsidian. Would you just be able to turn the obsidian into lava?

locked things would probably have no effect with this

With nether mobs (mainly blazes) giving the most EXP at this time, I don't think a blaze rod would be a good choice. I see with the market, but if someone is camping a spawner, they will get plenty before its destroyed. If they get killed, the person will collect the rods. I just don't see them rare enough for this.

As for the usefulness for this, why would someone buy something that is pretty expensive when they could do /kit pyro every hour and get it for free? I just don't understand.

I think everyone is missing the important question here.

...why does Kuke want to make so many large lava pits that he felt the need to suggest a custom plug-in to do it more efficiently?

Avoiding extra listening in on laggy TPS drop causing events.
Would work like the /break command in Essentials.

I really don't see the point of this, why turn obsidian into lava. We do not need a plug in just because people are lazy, don't be lazy and start placing lava buckets, it's that simple.
