2021 Holiday Build Contest!

Welcome to the 2021 Holiday Season Build Contest!

Its time for a BIG BIG BIG BUILD CONTEST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Here we go, information!

Builds will be judged and awarded prizes of four different tiers. While it is required for you to choose a theme, you do NOT need to participate in the other tiers if you do not wish to do so. This is an opportunity to earn more money for your creativity but is not required to place in the competition!

Best Overall:
The top 3 scoring builds will be determined by most points awarded. This section judges the overall appeal, creativity, detail, use of space and complexity of the presented builds.
For those who don’t make the top three but still display a decent amount of skill will be presented with an Honorable Mention!

ALL winning categories will be presented with their own Lore’d item medal to represent their achievement!

Prizes:
1st Place: $100 GiftCard for the Buycraft store and the Event Medal!
2nd Place: $75 GiftCard for the Buycraft store and the Event Medal!
3rd Place: $50 GiftCard for the Buycraft store and the Event Medal!
Honorable Mentions: $150,000 EcoDollars!

Best of Theme:
This prize will go to the build that best represents its registered/presented theme! Each theme that is offered in a build competition will have a single winner for “Best of Theme”.
The builds that place for Overall Best may also win a Best of Theme as well!

Best of Christmas Theme: $100,000 EcoDollars
Best of Winter Theme: $100,000 EcoDollars
Best of Nature Theme: $100,000 EcoDollars
Best of Airship Theme: $100,000 EcoDollars
Best of Fantasy Theme: $100,000 EcoDollars

Creative Block Challenges:
There are also prizes to be won for the Creative Block Challenges!
These prize awards will go to the builds that are judged to have the most creative use of the following blocks! Builds that also place in Overall Best and Best of Theme may also place in the Creative Block Challenges! Builds may also attempt multiple Creative Block Challenges in their build entry!

Creative Block Challenge: Blue Ice: $50,000 EcoDollars
Creative Block Challenge: Copper Block(all forms): $50,000 EcoDollars
Creative Block Challenge: Dead Coral(all types): $50,000 EcoDollars
Creative Block Challenge: Amethyst Block: $50,000 EcoDollars
Creative Block Challenge: Lantern/Soul Lantern: $50,000 EcoDollars

Favorites:
Only two sections here, but each build will be held up to the standards of the people to determine the builds who meet these requirements!

Prizes:
Crowd Favorite: $100,000 EcoDollars

A vote will be taken for the public during the judging period to determine the crowd favorite(s).

I will choose my overall favorite build myself to award this extra bit of EcoDollars!

Other Information:

• EcoCityCraft’s Build Competitions are currently supported on the Main server!
  • Compete on your home server and don’t worry about how you’re going to provide for your build when you don’t have access to your things!
• Each plot will be provided with a basic set of starting blocks for their builds, including a small number of the Creative Block Challenge blocks! No one should have to start from nothing!
• You are welcome to use other blocks, you are not limited to the starter chest for supplies!

Rules:

• You may only build in your assigned plot.
• The building period will be between November 1st - December 27th!
• Winners will be announced on January 7th! Please allow up to 24 hours to receive your prize(s).
• You may build alone or with a team.
• The maximum team size is 5 users. You may only be part of 1 team.
  • If you are already part of a building team you may not apply for your own build plot.
• If banned for any reason during the competition, you may be disqualified or removed from the team.
• After winners are announced, you will have 14 days to remove your build. Anything leftover will be lost.
• All rules are subject to change. Rule changes will be announced in this thread.
