1.6.6 has lots of bugs, but there is two I really hate, first, Random fps drops, they happen every minute or so, almost every time it happens, I disconnect from lag. Second, chunks not loading, this makes me have to disconnect almost every time I teleport, and on this computer, it takes five minutes to relog, so those two bugs make it almost impossible to play. I might not be on as much until ether I get a new computer so that it doesn't take five minutes to relog, or minecraft updates to 1.7 and fixes the bugs. I will be stalking the forums just as much as before though.
It still happens like 80% of the time though, so it might take like five or six times to get it right. And teleporting happens ALL THE TIME, by teleporting, I mean all kinds, not just /tp, it happens with /home, /spawn, and when going through portals.
Yes, but you have a better computer then me, the chunk not loading, you should have that, I think...and the fps drop, it only lasts for a split second, so only people with REALLY bad computers will even be affected by it.
I will try to be on sometimes, I still have a winner to pay, and I am not going to abandon this server for what could be a month, but I won't be on as often, the lag I get every minute or so is ether going to, 1: slow my computer down for long enough to miss some chat, or 2: disconnect me, and there is no way to fix the lag spikes...unless someone knows what causes the problem and can tell me what to delete/change in the .minecraft folder, which is VERY unlikely.
I just thought of those two reasons, it could be ether of those...I never had to do those before, that's why I didn't, I will delete my texture packs, and the only other things I messed with were things that could be fixed using the "force update" button, but I don't think my texture packs or anything like that could be causing it. If those don't work, I might be on less then I thought, I just tried connecting three times, but I could not make it in. The next time I manage to get in, if Mission isn't there, and you are, I will give you the money so that you can give it to Mission, Because the next time me and Mission are on at the same time could be ages from now.
Verification? one time when I tried getting on, it gave me an error about that...This might just work.
Yesterday, I started getting the lag after downloading an adventure map, that might have had a virus. I don't use the single player maps anymore, after I found, "or rather you told me about" EcoCityCraft, I haven't used them.
OK, I deleted everything, redownloaded minecraft.exe, I'm in the game...crossing my fingers this works, also, I might disconnect the first time, that's normal.
Wait, that means you're saying I'm not good at it...which one of us has fought off 4 creepers at once using only bare fists and none of them blew up BEFORE fist damage increased on hard mode? yeah...I'm better, unless Mission's done better then that, which is HIGHLY doubted. And good news, my minecraft just had some sort of virus, I've fixed it, so from now on, pretend this threads title is "1.6.6 loves me!" I know I can just edit the post...but where's the fun in that?
