I play zombies actively and I tried to join via the server selector, walking into the water, and /server zombies but I cant get there and I didn't see anything saying it was down for maintenance so I wanted to make this to see what was going on.
Sometimes servers go down. they are either restarting or under maintainence. try again in a few minutes it might work
