So I have the really cool idea for a building, but it would use a lot of sea-lanterns. In case you don't know it requires prismarine shards and crystals, which you have to get both through the challenge with cooked fish. That would require hours of fishing for just a few, or I could buy them for $500 (I think, srry if I'm wrong) each. My suggestion is that since prismarine, sea-lanterns, and a few others that are very hard to obtain in large quantities. My suggestions is a challenge or area at spawn where you can exchange certain items fo the ones listed above. For example, one sea-lantern could cost 2 glowstone blocks, and a block of prismarine would cost 2 cobble. Prismarine bricks would cost 2 stone bricks and dark prismarine would be 2 stone bricks and an ink sac. Their island level points would be the same as what you trade for them, so a sea-lantern would give the same number of points a block of glowstone, and same with prismarine, prismarine bricks, and dark prismarine. Please let me know what you think. This would be very helpful, as none of these blocks serve any purpose except decoration.
There are a lot of recources which are very hard to obtain in skyblock since they also need to be crafted on a higher level. but even i think, (with an island level of 11000) that some challenges are just not well organised. another thing, packed ice, u can use it to speed up stuff, pro stuff right. it takes ages to collect (same problem u have) My Tip to aem staff: Sit around a table and talk w multiple levels of players to just see what u can improve on the server. like challenges and rewards i really like the idea for the trading point, but i have to give tommy here a mark. but yes u need alot of time on the server to get stuff done (sorry for the long post)
like i don't mean packed ice for the speed. that challenge is fine as it is, but could be nice if the price was reduced a bit. they may be able to make packed ice as a decorative block, but doesn't provide the speed effects of the ice. they could do this by making it a random block, but edit the NBT data so it shows the texture of a packed ice block. I saw this in a youtube video by mumbo jumbo, but he did this with falling sand entities to create tadashi's castle stepping stones parkour (i think thats it name). this may be a hard addition to add, but it would be really cool.
