I was wondering if i can have a music bot in the team speak chat. I can play any type of music that is requested. I also enjoy all types of music and their are no limitations to what their is. I plays songs based on what people want.

Yes you can, as far as I'm concerned. I know a couple other players already have them and I haven't heard any complaints about it. If a user doesn't like it, they can always go to a different channel or you can move the bot to another channel. Just please don't play any offensive music :)

From the end user perspective having a music bot is brilliant for relaxing and just casually playing. I've noticed an issue with some people however where people don't ask for a type of music and instead just leave when they hear something they don't like. It's a little dis-heartening when you want to play music others will like, but can't because the won't speak up. Maybe having some prompt in the channel description telling people they can request songs or have a link to the bots playlist in the description for them to queue a song for themselves would be a good idea. I'm not sure how much that would clash with the "no advertisements" policy of AEM however.

That's my thoughts on the music bot :)

I know most times the owner puts "Poke for new song" in the name or something. I dunno how customizable the bots are but I like having them there. And if I don't like a song I leave or turn the bot down. No muss, no fuss. :D

My music bot is music played through my computer not a actual bot controlled by commands. But i am working on a program that it would be able to for the sender to send a link or a song request and it will search through the library and play it and also have a vote system if people wanted the song to be switch but everything is still in beta. So far I just play music on Spotify and YouTube. Also I would like to take a survey on what people love to listen to and make a huge playlist and it will shuffle through all the songs so that i have all types of music that people like and not a certain genre. Also I tried to contact Alex but he never answered me back on it. I am hoping that he would be able to get a chance and check out this post and give some thoughts about it.

It seems the general concensus is "the more integrated and customisable the better". I think if it's going to be intergrated into ts then maybe an automatic stop command could trigger when no ones in the room for say like a minute so it doesn't consume more resources than required
