Question Concerning Chunks

    So I was wondering around my island with my debug (f3) screen open and I noticed that in 1.8 chunks don't appear to be 16x16x256. Instead, the game considers a 16x16x16 cube to be one chunk.

    So does this affect slime chunks since the definition of chunk has changed between 1.7 and 1.8?

    No slime chunks are still in the same locations if your island was from 1.7
