Hello my fellow players, As many of you may know, there has been a change recently to the obtainment of Iron Golem spawners. When the server first restarted, they could be obtained through the spawner crate and the in-game shop accessed by typing /shop. In the aforementioned shop, they could be purchased for a price of $2,000,000. This price seemed high, but not out of the margin of reason. When the spawner crate was removed, it left the shop being the only way of obtaining the Iron Golem spawner. Very recently, they were taken out of the shop, and made available on the donation store for $15 USD. While I do believe both that Iron Golem Spawners are extremely OP and it makes sense to be available for people more fortunate, (have money to spent hundreds on minecraft), so they can advance their progress faster than normal, I believe it is not fair to remove it from the in-game shop. This is an example of Pay to Win. While it is possible to make 36 iron farms on your island, they could not compete with the throughput of a few spawners. It says to the community "If you want to be able to compete with other players in the economy, you need to spend at least $15." I would not object to a complete removal of the spawners, as they are quite OP, but it does not make sense to make people pay their hard earned money for an in-game spawner. The big problem that comes of this is that some people already have the spawners, as they purchased them with in-game money before the change was implemented. Currently zRinn and dannyvonmonroe have 6 iron golem spawners, all from before the change. To be able to challenge them in the Iron market, you would have to pay $90. This is absurd in my, and many others' opinions. Again, I and others believe that either the Iron Golem spawners need to be removed all together, or they need to be added back to the shop, at a reasonable price. I have attached a poll, and would like you to voice your opinions on what should be done. I'd love to hear my peers' views on this issue, as well as any response from staff about resolving this.
