Ok so I have just decided to take a day or two away from the server as there is a lot of disrespect happening on survival. A big argument occurred after someone cheated in a PvP battle. Not long after I helped that player out as he couldn't pay something and people were demanding he pay. Eventually a bunch of people began taking sides between two people and nobody was listening to each other. A couple of us tried to get them to calm down (Good try Bird) but it made no difference. One of the rules of survival is to respect all players and staff. People should follow this rule as it keeps the server friendly and welcoming to new players. I agree people should be allowed to have their own opinion but saying things that hurt people isn't showing respect. If someone is annoying you just /eignore or /ignore. Don't start having ago at each other over petty squabbles. Thanks for taking the time to read me rambling on about something that probably counts as 'little importance.'
@zRinne is there a way to help prevent this? Like to maybe help the people who are trying to fix the situation?
To my understanding, they refuse to ignore each other as it may feel like they have been defeated, they wanted to show that they were right so it lead to an even bigger argument. When people get angry or depressed, they tend not to think well, their minds get clouded so the best solution is for them to take some time and cool off, leave them be. Why leave them be? Because the more others involve themselves, the more they wanna argue, it's the same as pouring oil into the fire. You're going to spark things up more if you don't know what you're doing. I suggest asking staff by /helpop (or if one is online in that server) to talk to them. Next time something like this happens, please call for a staff. If none are available, please take screenshots as most tend to go overboard with what they say, and yes, disrespect isn't allowed. Thank you for trying though, I appreciate it
