So I loaded up Minecraft, super excited for the new reset and I have to say I'm slightly disappointed. I'm not hating any of the staff, I know how hard and long they have worked on the new server but it doesn't seem to have the survival aspect as much anymore.

    1. /Wild
I know this has been spoken about a lot and I really hope it changes. Waiting 20 minutes to use /wild is ridiculous. Unless you can fly, it's difficult for players to travel large distances or find different biomes. I understand why it was set for this long but it's still a pain if you're searching for a certain biome.

    2. No oceans in the build world
I've heard that there are no longer any oceans in the build world but I don't actually know if this is true. I've not been playing long but I didn't come across any oceans and I think that's a big shame. I know there are many players who build their base in an ocean and I had a big project planned that would be built on land, leading into the ocean.

    3. Animal spawners
I noticed that there is an animal spawner at spawn which defeats a big aspect of survival. Food. When you load up a world the first few things you need are shelter and food but if there is an animal spawner then there isn't a need to make a food farm. The spawner also makes it so much easier to get items such as wool or leather which used to be a way for players to make a bit of money. Players could sell their wool and leather to others which yes, can still happen but it's so much easier to get the items and people won't need to buy them. Now that we can actually get animal spawners it also defeats the purpose of working to get the animals in a farm. With spawners, players can just build spawners that auto kill animals and after a few minutes they could have enough food to feed the whole server.

    4. Vote party
It's really annoying that every time someone votes a message pops up saying 'Only ... votes until a vote party!' It would be better if the message occurred every 25 votes and then counted down the last 5 maybe?

    5. Claiming costs
I heard that claiming plots for towns now costs 1k which is a stupid amount of money. There are some players who just create a town to protect their builds from griefers. Towns already need money to keep them going but having to spend thousands to purchase land to build on means that you have to be a millionaire.

    6. PvP in the Nether
I think that this is a really bad idea as I would like to be able to collect glowstone and quartz without having to worry about being attacked. Yes, the nether is big but the players who can't fly have the disadvantage of not being able to get as far as others. Also, are there actually any rules about PvP in the nether? It wouldn't be fair to have a member who just joined suddenly be attacked by an Extreme who has OP gear or someone who can fly against someone who can't. If there is just an area where you can PvP with set rules then it would be better as it can be made fair or you're expecting it.

    7. Crates
I don't know much about crates but from what I've heard and seen they can give an easy way to have a chance to win OP stuff. Players can go and spend bit of money (irl) and suddenly be OP in the game. Yes, that's probably the idea of crates but it takes away the working aspect of survival.

To be honest, the survival server now seems to be very similar to the way factions is set up. Ok fine, there isn't raiding or PvP in the real world but it still seems to have a similar setup of factions.

Before you start arguing, let me just say that I still love AEM and these are just some points that I think need to be addressed. I think Sway and Hayden and all of the other staff have done an amazing job on bringing this server back to life. I was honestly thinking of making a post and quitting but now I'm so glad I didn't. Thank you to all of the staff and new owners and players for making AEM great again and for never giving up on this server.

I agree with all your points, especially PVP in the Nether ... haven't been attacked yet, but I definitely cannot stay afk in the nether anymore.

Also another point/comment — LOVE the instant tp'ing thingy (like /tpaccept, /wild, /home, and such); waiting 5 seconds after the command was super annoying especially if I accidentally moved. <3

I also agree, I thought for /wild they might shorten the waiting time not make it 20 minutes, and PvP in the Nether??? We already have a couple spots for PvP.

I think they need to update the rules/make it clear that you can't use your rank privileges such as /fly against people without. I remember before the reset there were signs at /warp pvp saying do not fly against people who can't and don't disguise(vanishing glitch/bug in the plugin). I think they should either add a pvp arena and remove nether pvp or at a minimum add signs like in /warp pvp last time saying not to use /fly or use the /d glitch against players without, because someone will probably end up doing just that.
Agree with other points as well

The pit has also gotten worse, From what I have noticed it has gotten alot smaller and you cant /wild in it anymore to the point its hard to find a Unexplored cave in it.
