    Hi,

    As you all know Mojang / Minecraft recently announced on February 4th, that you will be able to change your Minecraft username. PLEASE NOTE: If you change your Minecraft username, you will not be able to get your donator rank or anything you currently have transferred over, we WILL NOT be supporting name changes with Minecraft at the current time being. So, please DO NOT change your Minecraft username if you would still like to play on AEM Network right now.

      Fair enough.. hypothetically speaking if I told an Admin "My ign is jmozz_2000 and I'm about to change my name to Mozz, if I lose my rank can you restore it" would that work? Though I'm a donor on like 6 AEM servers so that would be a mighty pain in the butt.

      Isnt that considered asking stafffor ranks though? I think its better just to keep your name until AEM supports name changing with no problems

      is it certain that we will loose our rank in skygrid, Also will aem eventually be doing name changes where you dont loose your rank? and if so how long till that would be? round about

      At this point I wouldn't risk changing your name because due to the post on the main page I'm certain anyone who changes their name will lose their rank. The post also stats that it doesn't support name changes at this time, so hopefully down the road support for name changes will come. But I've seen first hand the issues that name changes have caused and it's a lot of issues.

      You'll have to talk to an admin in game. Not sure how they're handling it over on Factions right now.
