Lag Problems

    Alright so if anyone knows anything about lag I need a little help. Heres the background story: @Dakoda was on our old island for a while after I reset, now he joined the new island and he basically can't do anything because he lags so bad. He told me its the only island he lags on and I've taken down anything that might cause lags, all the item frames, leaf blocks, etc. If you need additional information I guess you could ask him buts its been like this for the past 2 days and we're worried we might have to separate >.<

    Try turning down settings like (particles, render distance and clouds) that's what I did when I was lagging really badly

    remove any trees, kuz leaves cause a drop in framerates

    If you guys ever find a solution to this I would love to hear about it. I'm having my own set of issues on my own island. =/

    It may be due to the fact that you might have like mob spawners they might lag

    We actually don't even have a mob spawner so I have no idea what the problem could be xD thanks though

    You could reduce mobs to the minimum, I did that and it helped.

    1.8 is probably the main issue. It has happened to me not only on this server, but others as well several times.

    I believe the lag comes from 1.8+ I had no trouble with lag with 1.7

    Here are some things that could help:

    -You could tweak some things on your computer to decrease lag such as;
    If you're on windows - Hit the windows button, type in run, enter, type in temp in the box that pops up, delete the files that are in the folder, important ones will come back or not let you delete.
    Disable some start up programs (Look it up, easier to explain in a vid)
    In task manager, set minecraft (Java) as a priority
    Up the amount of ram for minecraft

    Some other things;
    Download optifine and turn everything down as low as it gets
