Now many people have griefed on a server before. It is not uncommon for people to feel the urge to grief something that is very desirable. I am glad that griefers are confronted by mods or admins quite quick but I feel they are let off too easy. Now i propose that griefers are banned from the survival server for 1 full day but are allowed to play on other servers on the AEM Network . It should be warned in the chat like the voting suggestions every 5 minutes. Thanks for reading this if you do.
As far as I know, griefers are banned based on their amount of blocks griefed, so if you grief very little (two or three) blocks its probably just a warning, but if you were to grief many blocks ( like 100 - 200 ) it would be a ban / tempban.
@ryanlee when I was a noob I greifed my friend by braking his beacon for the lolz just for a prank and I got banned from survival strait on no exceptions. So I think they do not let you off easily I've seen staff like @Schelmixi and @Gluupor handle a situation very well and I've never seen them just let some1 off just like that so they do handle the situation and make sure it never happens again.
That's why the staff on this server are much better than other staff that I've seen on other servers because they know what they are talking about and they help.
I've never had a problem with the staff here. They are always quick to act when someone griefs. I like the idea of a day ban.
Although griefing is against the rules and is very well known to almost everyone, I think a lot of people don't know its wrong. Survival on AEM could be different from other servers and they may not think anything of it, but also if your pranking someone or doing it for fun, but will put everything back, its a different story. I don't think anyone should be banned if both people being pranked/pranker agree that it was just for fun or if someone didn't understand that its not aloud.
Punishment is and should remain our last resort. If a player is willing and apologies concerning a grief, there is no reason to ban/tempban. A brief jailing and discussion with the player is typically suffice. Tempban are used when the players offenses are small but the player will not cooperate. And on a side note, not knowing/ignorance is not an exception on AEM Policy. @Ryan Lee
As for pranks, I agree with @Kaykay0202 , as long as no true or permanent harm is done and all is reversed as well as the involved players are not offended by it, I personally do not deem it as grief.
And yes @Pottsa19 , you are correct. 100+ griefed blocks are when we consider tempban/ban. (But not always necessarily execute one, all situations are different.)
