    Hello people of the forums,
Hopefully someone can help me with this, as it has been a persistent annoyance to me for the past few months and I am getting pretty tired of it. Lately I've been forced disconnected from multiple servers on the network now, and not as often, but some other non-aem servers too. I get disconnected off and on, but when I do, it can last for a few hours, and up to 32 times in one hour. It happens when I have chat open, and when I don't. During the middle of actions, and randomly at other times, even when I am in the menu for minecraft. I have re-downloaded the game several times, even used Optifine, tried it without mods as well (ie minimap).
Here are several of the errors I get:
    • Internal Exception: io.netty.handler.codec.DecoderException: java.util.zip.DataFormatException: incorrect header check
    • Internal Exception: io.netty.handler.codec.DecoderException: Badly compressed packet - size of 1531896730 is larger than protocol maximum of 2097152
    • Internal Exception: io.netty.handler.codec.CorruptedFrameException: length wider than 21-bit
    • Internal Exception: io.netty.handler.codec.DecoderException: java.util.zip.DataFormatException: incorrect header check
    • Internal Exception: io.netty.handler.codec.CorruptedFrameException: length wider than 21-bit (I know, this one repeated, they do that too)
    • Internal Exception: io.netty.handler.codec.DecoderException: Badly compressed packet - size of 11478809 is larger than protocal maximum of 2097152
    • Internal Exception: io.netty.handler.codec.DecoderException: Badly compressed packet - size of 102 is below server threshold of 256

Does anyone have any idea what in the world is going on here? I'd greatly appreciate the help with this.

    V/R

It sounds like you have been messing with some of the internal commands/coding of minecraft. Have you been messing around with the "edit profile"/%appdata>.minecraft>assets?

I typically get these either when my computer gets really laggy or my internet is spotty.

Hmm, I've edited the profile, but only to install a mod loader (for a minimap), which was recently added (within a month), and this problem persisted before I messed around with that. also, I don't think I've ever messed around with that directory.
Secondly, my computer should be fine, since I built it myself, and it has a GTX 670 for a GPU in it, and 8GB of RAM, so it should be able to handle Minecraft fairly decent. However, I am not 100% sure about my internet, it is kinda new, but I also got it before I started playing on AEM (I think) so the problems didn't occur then.
Towards Evanyoshi, think fully deleting Minecraft off my system, then reinstalling it all would help? I did have a particularly nasty backdoor on my computer for a bit there that I was unaware of until recently, so I don't know if that had any effect on it.

Its worth a shot @Charles Perkins . This will NOT delete any of your single player worlds or any of your multiplayer servers. Click on the link, scroll down to the bottom and click on "download .exe", open it, download it, and your good! The download link is http://www.skydaz.com/minecraft-factory-reset/

It sadly didn't, the only error I have had so far though was this one:
    • Internal Exception: io.netty.handler.codec.DecoderException: java.util.zip.DataFormatException: incorrect header check
I have reinstalled java as well.

Still thinking it's your internet or the server.

I at this time really don't know how to check on the internet's connection stability, and I really don't think the server will resolve such an issue promptly even if it was them. Also, if it's the version of Minecraft (which I have no idea if this could be a cause too, although it seems unlikely), that is also out of my control.

I have already done both of those prior, and it still does that.

I would say at least a forth of those Internal Exception's are from lag, sometimes if you get on a half slab, fence, or an unregistered block it does that. Happens with me when I mine melons with diamond axe, I think it's too fast and so the melon is still there says the server, though it's invisible on me.

Have you tried rebooting your router and internet? That may help, I feel it's something between you and the server's connection. May not be internet, just how you are connected to the server, etc.

I have rebooted my router, and about 5 minutes later the problem happens again. I just use regular minecraft, unless I am using liteloader with the mini map. I also tried this with Optifine and it still didn't work.

    Got a new one today:
    Connection Lost
    Internal Exception: io.netty.handler.codec.DecoderException: java.lang.IndexOutOfBoundsException: readerIndex(3) + length(1) exceeds writerIndex(3): UnpooledHeapByteBuf(ridx: 3, widx: 3, cap: 3)

It seems since I've done all that I have done so far, that I only get the java related errors.

EDIT: Nevermind, the frame exception errors still occur. :p
