I hope I'm not alone in this, but I MISS Mob Arena. It used to be my favorite pastime of this server, in between mining trips, or when I was strapped for cash. I do truly miss this part of AEM survival, and think I am not alone. Is there any reason it was removed, and is there any way to re-implement it? [INDENT]-PoeticNinja[/INDENT]
I believe it was removed because it wasn't capable with the new features added into the server. Currently, the server runs on 1.7.10 for the most part, but with a mod included to implement 1.8 features, such as colored beacons, or rabbits. I believe the mob arena being taken out has the same general reason why some other plugins were removed: they weren't capable of handling the new features. Yet.
Well, that makes more sense! Can I expect to see an announcement about Mob Arena coming back, or possibly having the broadcast removed?
It has Been disabled for the meanwhile due to the updating of the server, and to sort out any lag if produced in the server. They are working on it but like everything else it needs to be fixed.
Having the broadcast removed would be good. It creates a lot of unnecessary confusion on the server. Dunno when MA would come back though, it all depends on the third party updates on plugins.
If they remove it then they would have to set it all up again, thats why they have not removed it yet and they are trying to get it running as soon as possible
The mob arena is down with out a plan to pull it up again at the moment as everyone is busy getting set up for the switch over sorry if you want it back let it be known
Mob Arena is not compatible with our current setup due to their lack of updates. If they update it, then we can look at it. But we will not compromise on stability for a minor feature.
