I have put a lot of thought into this thread because something very serious happened to me lately and i think its time to open some eyes. If you are triggered easily, or are under the age of 11, I suggest you not read. Also, do not comment to cause drama or bring a past experience in with this. The forum was made for staff eyes mostly. On Monday, February 2, 2015, I was in the Emergency Room because I was being bullied. Now the bullying wasn't physical, but it was causing some mental things. (If you are old enough hopefully you understand what I mean.) Part of the reason I was in there was because of cyber bullying, and some of that bullying has been taking place on skywars. It could have been happening on other servers, but most of my time is dedicated to skywars, so I wouldn't know. Before you say, "you shouldn't be letting people on the internet get to you!" or, "That is so stupid, they are people on the internet," think twice. Some people have severe depression and the littlest things can trigger them. I have been depressed for quite some time now, and I have been triggered easily, so I know what it feels like. But this article is NOT about me so let me get to the point. In December of 2014, a group called 4chan attacked people on social media who have shown weakness or self harm. It was reported that some even were cyber bullied enough to commit suicide. The CIA and FBI had to be involved because it turned out to be that bad. After a few days, it calmed down and people suspected of "targeting" others were in deep trouble. When people get on the internet, they think it is okay for them to say whatever they want, or call people awfully rude words. For example, on skywars, when someone is killed, someone may call them very rude things that I honestly do not like. There has also been a lot of conflict between donators and non donaters, calling kits "noobish" or "stupid." Honestly, we paid for them, and it is fair that we get to use them. After all, we did help keep the server running for another month or so! People who complain are either A) jealous, or B) thinking it is unfair. News flash, life isn't always fair! I think that this server, along with many others, is just brushing off this issue. Alex and Ethan, if you are reading this, a few swear filter plug ins are NOT cutting it! It is NOT OKAY for people to being getting into daily arguments and getting away with it. It is NOT OKAY for people to get away with saying these rude things to other human beings! Another word that I don't like is noob. No one here is a noob, you don't know them in real life. Maybe they are just having an off day, or someone's friend is using their computer or account. There are a lot more things that I would like to address but I don't want to make this boring. So here is the point, we need to put a STOP to cyber bullying. Even if it is just on one amazing server named AEM Network, we can make this community of Minecraft better one server at a time! Thank you for reading.

@Buttercup247 I really do personally appreciate the time and effort that you put into making this post . I too have (and still am) suffering from depression, and I too seem to get triggered easily, but I have learned how to successfully deal with it. Besides the point, I do wish that everyone could just "stop" cyber bulling, but of course it will never happen. Of course people will continue to bully, but I do agree with you . And yes @Mr_LightViper it is a game, but for some (including myself), it is more than that, and I think that comment could (and has) upset players...
Thank you so much for agreeing! I tried making this post go beyond Minecraft so people cant just say it's a game. Of course we cant stop it right away, but maybe we could implement rules that crack down on chat bullies? Maybe a ten hour mute or something like that to scare them on the first warning. I personally would do that if I had a server, but yeah. Depression, not fun

Rude much? Calling people out good for you. How about you stop. This could be just as much considered "cyber bullying" towards me and viper. So please stop, and fyi your causing drama and off topic posting on threads. So 1. Please stop kissing up to staff. 2. Keep this thread on topic.
I absolutely understand your point and I agree with you about stopping cyber-bullying. There is only one thing that you maybe forgot. The plugin to disable some words will lead to new words. Players simply figure out a different way to spell it or they will just make a new word. Maybe you would like that staff ban the players who bully other players. But there are times that staff isn't online. The only way to "proofe" that someone is bullying you would be screenshots. Sometimes the part of the conversation which is shown on the screenshot doesn't say everything. So also that way isn't the best way if you don't screenshot the whole conversation. I just don't think that you can stop cyber- bullying. I wish it was possible though. No one deserves to get bullied, either online or in real life.
