So this is a little irritating because in havent found 15 conversations worth talking on, any chance this will be changed.
We want to see people who are active on the forums as well as in game because forum moderation is also apart of the duties of staff.
In my opinion I would rather more than 10 post. We do not want people to comment just for the sake of applying staff, there are people who spammed 10 replies/post and never came back because it meets the requirements to apply for staff and that's all they want. Saying they want to help yet aren't. We need to maintain the forums thus need staff to keep an eye here and help everyone they can as well as the servers. You can help any rank you are in not necessarily staff rank to be helpful.
Honestly. You sound lazy, people that come on the forums and just post 10 replies so that they can apply for staff make me think that you don't like the forums at all. I agree with Rinne, The post limit should be raised. Greatly. The forums need to be more active.
The great thing about forums is that you can add content yourself. If you truly feel that nothing here is worth posting on then why not make some of your own posts/content with things that appeal to you? There's a subforum for just about everything. Also, no the post requirement will not change Thanks! Christy
Ok i didn't realize the application applied to forum mods too. I can also understand the issue with people just spamming replies because that is rather pointless. My only issue with the forum post requirement is that there is very little to pot on in my opinion. Most of the threads are someone either whining or something random. I can understand those that are asking for help, that makes sense, but alot of what they are asking is on in-game help tutorials.
I honestly think it should be more I mean I am at 10+ now it didn't take long and I didn't even realize there was a cap but there's nothing to stop someone posting a load of random things that *sound helpful* I think it should look for commitment to helping/posting and well experience on the server but I suppose the 10 posts if just to apply and I don't think it will be accepted if you don't bother on the forums.
Not many people speak NoPunctuation-ese, so I'll try to translate: "I honestly think it should be more. I mean I am at 10+ now; it didn't take long, and I didn't even realize there was a cap. But there's nothing to stop someone posting a load of random things that *sound helpful*. I think it should look for commitment to helping/posting and good experience on the server, but I suppose the 10 post requirement is ok if it's just to apply, and I don't think it will be accepted if you don't bother on the forums."
Thanks for the service! Im in the process of learning Punctuation-ese but im a little shaky with it good to see you out here helping.
Oh and also I admit I did post 12 things to apply for staff. :/ but because of this requirement I've seen how diverse this forum is, so I'm going to spend a lot more time on the forum now!
Same tbh but I haven't just posted randoms, I actually contributed. I think im at about 20 now but im glad i took a look around here.
Well yeah I didnt spam either, like I said I wouldn't in my first post . This forum deserves more activity. I might start posting a series of threads or something!
Would definitely be worth looking at. I think the trouble is people only ever come here when they are having an in-game problem, that's how we end up with thread after thread of people shouting etc.
You should check out the off-topic forum. We play games sometimes too. It's not all serious-complainy type stuff.
