First question, how and and when will we know if we are to become a mod and by that I mean when and how will they tell us if they want us to become one once we've applied? As for question two, there are sometimes sales that go on so I would watch for those, usually around U.S. holidays. For question one, that's is up the owners. I hope is helps
To answer your first question they will notify you. And unless you're already a helper you will become helper before mod. You will be notified with either a forum reply or a pm on the website. (As far as I know)
The way it generally works is you fill out an application then wait. When staff is needed they go through and look for qualified applicants. Asking about it and harassing staff about it results in a rejection. Just be an outstanding member of the community and participate and you may get nominated when the next position opens up. There is no timeline on when or if you'll be asked to be staff. It's on an as-needed basis.
