They don't work in Ocean Biomes and in Grid its like 80% ocean, so you'll have to press F3 and check that first. In swamps, slimes may spawn at night between the heights of 50 and 70 provided the light level is 8 or less. Not sure if this still apply for grid, but all the ones I've seen work have been very low level in grid closed to the bottom, but not at the end. Hope this helps :)

Bunny said most of that is needed for slimes to spawn regularly. I know of only 4 people who have them, very rare in Skygrid, good luck :D

It's a hit or miss, I've found some that work and some that don't. You're best bet is to just go to the nether or end and collect as many slime spawn eggs as you can. :)

The ones that apply to the standard of regular spawning Slimes work, I have one.
Even the old fashioned vanilla ways will work in Slime Chunks, an old player.. the rich guy FraterAelph has one :D
    Don't get discouraged *.*

I know some people that just live in swamp biomes (low on the grid levels 50 and 70) and they spawn naturally too :)

If you are lazy, not feel like getting one yourself, I am starting to fine slime spawners that DO work, and selling them for 4k-10k.. depends on how I make it work :D

I might be interested in that Hegde. I'm in the process of looking for another good area to start a secret project shhhh haha but still looking for an area with a lot of spawners around. Takes a while but I would like either slime or squid one to work there. If you find one with both omg so tell me lol

Squid spawners don't work? Well, that helps. xD I found a squid spawner today and poured water over it hoping something would spawn just because I wanted it to. Sat and watched it for 30 seconds before giving up on it anyways. Good thing to know I didn't leave a squid spawner perfectly capable of spawning something just because I was impatient. XD Thanks for this info, lol.

Squid Spawners do work. I have one at my base and drops a TON of inc sacks. Maybe your spawner didn't work cause it was in the wrong biome?
