If you are interested in participating in the EcoCityCraft Staff Team - You must follow these staff guidelines, fill them out accordingly, and re-post as a new thread.

    Basic Requirements:
    • You must have enough experience playing EcoCityCraft that you can effectively assist other users in learning/playing the game.
    • You must read and understand these standards before you apply: What is expected of a Staff member.
    • You must read and understand the application rules: Staff Application Rules
    Staff Application Format:

The quality and amount of work you put into your staff app will play a huge role in deciding whether or not you get picked to join the team. Putting actual work and effort into your application will leave you with a much better chance of getting moderator than someone who just hastily jotted down answers.

    Application:

    Code:
    [b]General Questions:[/b]

    What time-zone are you in?

What time of the day do you usually play?
Do you play mostly on weekends, or is it spread evenly through the week? If you can, please include a schedule of what hours you play each day.

    How old are you?:

    [b]Main Questions:[/b]

Why do you want to be a Moderator and what would your goals be while on Staff?

How have you been helping the community grow bigger and better?
Explain how you have helped the community and how you plan on helping even further as a Moderator.

What is it about EcoCityCraft that you most enjoy, what keeps you playing regularly?

The staff team is always changing and improving. If you become a staff member, what is one thing you would like to change about the staff team?

What specifically do you think puts you above the other applicants?

Why do you think that you may not be picked?
What do you need to improve on?

    [b]Hypothetical Questions:[/b]

A new user joins EcoCityCraft and asks several questions right off the bat.
"Hi, I'm new" and "How do I play?" as well as "What is the point of this server?"
    How would you answer them?

A couple of new players are in global chat, they are trying to play the game together but seem to have trouble finding each other. How would you go about assisting them?

You notice two users chatting in the Mining spawn local, there seems to be a heated argument and then one of them calls for a staff member. They claim the other user tried to pour lava and kill them and are insisting that you ban them. How would you handle this situation?

You are asked to attend to a user to a town. Upon arriving you find that the user is the town owner and is arguing with another user in their town. They have stated at the user has broken rules in the town and they want this user to leave. The other user is refusing to leave and continues to argue with the town owner about his right to be in the town. How would you handle this situation?

Two players, a town owner and another user, are arguing about a plot. One user says that they were removed from the town and wants a refund for their plot and the house on it that the town owner tore down. The owner states that he does not owe them anything and wants you to ask them to leave the town. How would you go about handling this situation?

You have just seen a newer user auction a low-value item for a high price. You note that an auction for a similar item happened shortly before that did very well. How would you handle the situation of an overpriced auction?

There is an active event going on, a player has seen the advertisement and would like to participate in the event but is confused on how to start. What would you do?

    [b]Former Staff Questions:[/b]

(If you have never been on the staff team, you may leave these questions blank)

When were you last on the staff team and how long were you a staff member?

What was your highest rank on the staff team?

What was your favorite part about being a staff member for EcoCityCraft?

If you were to return to the staff team, what would you do differently?

    [b]Other Questions[/b]

Do you consider yourself a risk taker?

Do you consider yourself a leader?

    How do you manage stress?

Finally, is there anything else you would like to add?

    Staff Standards

    Online Time:

We expect all staff members to spend at least 2 hours on the server a day. SuperMod & GameAdmin requirements are higher depending on their rank. Staff must be active during that time. Being a staff member, and not coming online for over a week will risk immediate removal from the team.

If you are leaving on any sort of vacation or personal leave let us know in the staff section to keep us aware of your plans.
    • Over staying your planned leave by over a week will have you removed from staff.
    • Failing to provide us with information regarding any sort of leave will have you removed from staff.
    • Depending on how long your leave is and the reason for your leave your rank may as well may be removed.
Staff ranks are not a permanent rank. Please do not consider them to be or treat them as such. They are always temporary ranks and stay with you as long as you stay active with the server and continue to perform your duties as a staff member.

Moderation, assistance, help and server spirit:

You are expected to moderate the EcoCityCraft server following the exact rules as outlined on the ECC Wiki as well as following our specific moderating needs as outlined in the private staff forum sections.

You are expected to provide answers in game to members in need, and assist/help them. There are many users out there who legitimately require help and assistance. You are expected to help these users the best way you can. Remember, you represent EcoCityCraft and our entire community.

Regarding server spirit ... I've seen a few staff members go out of their way and help us get users by doing simple things away from the community. I've also seen other staff members completely go above and beyond in game and assist new users in getting started. These actions, in my opinion, are great, and show you truly care!

    Forum Requirements:

Various forum requests must be handled in a timely fashion such as the staff requests sections and more. Exact rank level requirements will be posted below. As well, the forum must be frequently checked, moderated and supported (meaning answering various help threads, as well as threads that you are required to attend to as outlined below.

    Can't handle the standards?

If for any reason at all you find that you cannot handle these standards, please do not apply. As well, if you are already on the team but time has become difficult for you, let us know that you would like to step down from being a staff member. (We will gladly consider you on a priority basis should your time free up again). I understand this may be tough for some of you, but our staff system has changed, and we now have standards on the server that must be followed. If you can't handle them it is no shame in stepping down from the staff team, as many of us I'm sure have busy lives as well.

Thank you all for understanding and supporting EcoCityCraft!
We hope to see you on ECC's staff team!

    Staff Rank Level Requirements:

    All Staff:
    • Online time (Minimum 2hrs average a day, evenly spread through the week)
    • Must be active and attentive while online.
    • Participate with in-game moderation and helping users.
    • Participate in forum moderation and assist in Help/Support whenever possible
    • Follow the Staff and Server Rules and Staff Guidelines
    • Help look over and approve Contracts via the Staff Discord
    • Add new players to the Staff-run plot town, Assist in managing and up-keep of the plot town.
    • Advertise Builder Bonus and any official server Events.
    • Attend staff meetings if possible and/or read over the meeting notes when not able to attend.
    • Keep up to date with all changes, expectations and duties.
    Moderators:
    SuperMods:
    GameAdmins:
    • Follow our "All Staff" requirements.
    • Attend to certain appeals in the Ban Appeals/Complaints section.
    • Attend to the Chestshop Removals in Staff Requests forum.
    • Attend to the entire Application forum section.
    • Please assist us with the Moderator and SuperMod specific requirements.
    Warning/Reminder:

Do not do anything that you're not supposed to be doing within any staff control panel or with any of the commands/tools you have access to in and outside of the game. We have full staff and administration logs and review them weekly to keep track of what is going on. If sort of abuse is found, or anyone is determined to be doing something that is not outlined here (which they should not be doing) they will not only be immediately demoted and removed from the staff team but permabanned from the ECC server and community with no chance of appeal. Breach of trust to us is the worst offense possible.
